Paul Granata DJ, Emcee

From a young age Paul showed an extreme passion and love for music. He completely immersed himself in all aspects of what music is. Whether it be the instrumentation, melody, production or personal interpretation, it all had a profound affect on him that he used to develop a keen ear and understanding of how powerful a song can be.

He taught himself to play guitar and dedicated himself so much to the instrument and music he would soon progress to writing and recording his own songs. At Northeastern University, he graduated with a major in Music Industry and also started an original band that played extensively throughout the Northeast. Soon after graduating, Paul and the band moved to Los Angeles where they continued to perform and record. During this time, he also spent 9 years working professionally in the music industry for Realsongs – Diane Warren Music Publishing.

At Realsongs some of the areas he worked in included licensing, copyright, song catalog management, as well as work in the recording studios.

Paul is very personable and easy to work with. He can make anyone feel comfortable and confident with him handling the music for their event. We feel his passion, experience, music knowledge, skills and DJ performance are very unique and special for any client that has the opportunity to work with him. Clients continuously rave about their experience working with Paul.

Testimonials Paul Granata

We loved working with DJ Paul and CZone entertainment! They helped make sure everything went smoothly on our wedding day! And the dance floor was absolutely packed because of DJ Paul’s fantastic music selection – he listened to our inputs and requests and really understood what our crowd wanted and needed to keep the night going. There were no breaks on the dance floor because there was not a single song everyone didn’t want to dance to. We had numerous people say it was the best dance floor they’ve ever seen at a wedding. Thanks for helping make it the best night of our lives!!

Paul Granata was the DJ at our wedding. Can’t say enough good things. He is entertaining, keeps the crowd in it, and keeps people on the dance floor the whole night. He did music for both the ceremony and the reception, and everything went off without a hitch. If you want your wedding to be fun and upbeat I highly recommend him.

An absolute, non-stop blast! Working with Paul was absolutely fantastic! We worked with CZone as part of Butternut Farm’s vendor inclusive package and we were so lucky to work with him! Their music planning website was so easy to use and allowed us to document all of our requests and suggestions in one place! Paul also made sure to go over everything down to the last detail with us. We had a large, multicultural wedding with music in varying languages and Paul was able to seamlessly keep the partying going through every transition. I am not exaggerating when I say that the dance floor was packed for 2 hours straight. Our guests were so impressed and we would recommend them to any couple!

Paul Granata made our wedding day so much fun from start to finish. He is both incredibly talented as a DJ and also very professional – a rare combination. He executed all of our requests perfectly, from the ceremony to cocktail hour and the reception. From our first phone call with him, we could tell he really “got it.” He immediately made us feel like we could fully trust him to handle everything without any additional direction. He has a particular talent for taking muddled requests/direction and making magic out of them, while also being detail-oriented. He even cut our first dance song for us, removing a segment from the middle and splicing it so the new transition was nearly imperceptible. The dance floor was packed the whole night from the minute the first song came on, and our guests had a blast! I would give him 10 stars if I could!

C-Zone in general was also a pleasure to work with. They are very organized and professional, and we felt like we were in good hands from the minute we signed the contract. Look no further for your DJ!

I cannot recommend DJ Paul from C-Zone enough. From the outset of working together, it was clear that Paul loves music and recognizes its power to create setting, mood, and ambiance. When I spoke to Paul for the initial phone sync, he took the time to understand our tastes and our guests. Throughout the process, we worked with Paul to select music for the different parts of the ceremony. One of the things I found excellent was that Paul offered his professional opinion when he felt something could be improved – and always did so in a collaborative fashion. He also encouraged us to provide him with all sorts of song requests so he could incorporate as many as he could make contextually appropriate. I told Paul before the wedding day that I really wanted to make sure that volume and acoustics were right in the venue. I’ve played in live music shows before, so I’ve experienced the kind of mastery it takes to finesse live audio production. Paul blew my expectations out of the water. In my opinion, the sign of an excellent wedding DJ is that the music blends into the background when it needs to be understated, and takes the forefront when the dance floor opens without ruining the guest experience for those still talking at their tables. Paul did a phenomenal job with this. Finally, I want to say that DJ Paul has a gift of understanding and reaching out to people with music. Many of our guests noted that the music played felt uniquely tailored to us – the bride & groom. Even more impressively, our wedding featured quite a small crowd – only around 50 people, only a subset of which had any interest in dancing. In spite of this, Paul’s expert song selections and mixes kept the dance floor lively all night! He was also very flexible with incorporating dynamic requests from our guests. Overall, you can’t go wrong working with DJ Paul from C-Zone. He’s friendly, easy to work with, and exceptionally talented – and we’re very thankful we chose him to DJ our wedding.

The Best Decision We Made!

It was probably the best decision we made for our wedding to hire C-Zone Entertainment. We used them for the entire event, which included a string quartet for our outdoor ceremony, a jazz trio for our cocktail hour, and DJ services for the reception. They also provided the audio for our outdoor ceremony (and all for a very reasonable price!). From start to finish, everything was easy and I felt confident. Music was incredibly important to us and to have a mix of live and recorded music throughout the night flow so seamlessly was amazing! The set-up online portal, administrative staff, everyone was available and kind, and it was stress-free! All the live musicians were excellent, played what we wanted, were professional, and incredibly talented. In particular, our night was made PERFECT because of Paul Granata. He was incredibly thoughtful, kind, organized, and accommodating. I had a special song planned for my husband and he worked with me and my pianist for weeks ahead of time to make sure it was perfect. Additionally, he met with us EARLY in the day to do a sound check and rehearsal in the space all while keeping this a surprise for my husband. He still claims it was the most special part of the wedding and this was due to Paul’s assistance. Paul also helped us edit our wedding song to get the best parts of the song and keep it under 2 minutes. He is a song editing genius! Paul was great at feeling out the crowd. The few times I ran up to him to say “can we play XX song?”his reply was “Ha – it’s already cued up next!” It was amazing how intuitive and thoughtful he was the entire time. Seriously – the best hire of our vendor team. C-Zone and Paul were amazing and we cannot say enough awesome things about them! Do yourself a favor and hire them!

Excellent experience with C-Zone

C-Zone was so easy to work with! Diane, the Office Administrator, was so kind and flexible whenever we had questions. We hired C-Zone for our ceremony music (piano), cocktail hour (piano & sax), photo booth, and DJ (ceremony mics and reception). Our pianist was so flexible and learned three custom arrangements for our wedding that were absolutely perfect. While we were taking pictures during cocktail hour and didn’t get to experience the music ourselves, our guests told us that the duet was wonderful. The photo booth and attendant were so much fun and they provided a guest book for guests to stick their photos and write us notes which was just icing on the cake. Guests said this was the best photo booth they’d ever used because the props were so fun, the photos were so high quality, and everyone in the picture was able to get copies emailed or texted to them immediately. Our DJ was Paul and he was amazing to work with. He was so friendly and also so organized that we knew we didn’t have to worry about anything. He asked such detailed questions when we talked and was so careful to pronounce our wedding party’s names correctly and take care of all the little things, it really helped us feel totally relaxed. He gave us suggestions for some of our songs and he was spot on. Overall, we had an excellent experience with everyone from C-Zone.

Talented and Accommodating

Paul Granata went above and beyond during our entire engagement process! C-Zone has the bride and groom fill out an online form so that everyone is on the same page. Once we completed that, Paul took the reins and made sure he knew the type of music and style of dance both of us, and our guests would enjoy. What really made Paul the best fit for us was the fact that he played multiple instruments. While we decided to not have him play guitar during the ceremony, he was willing and able to meet with my uncle, who was going to be singing, to produce a one-of-a-kind piece for when I walked down the aisle.
Paul also edited songs for the father/daughter and first dance, making our visions truly come to life. Even though we were probably one of his many weddings, he made us feel like we were the only clients around. He would set up 1-2 hour phone calls to go over every detail and even helped us put a spreadsheet together for all the events on the wedding day.
I hope in the future, we can work with Paul again and tap into his musical talent a little more because I know our guests would have really enjoyed that!
Thank you Paul and C-Zone 🙂
