A native of Bel Air, MD, Kristen attended Oberlin Conservatory (Music Performance – Cello) and Boston Conservatory (Music Performance – Cello, Masters in Music Education). In addition to her work with C-Zone, she performs frequently with many area orchestras, chamber ensembles, rock/pop groups, and more. Kristen has held teaching positions in Weston, Roxbury, and Cambridge. At the moment, she is focusing on Gem Club, a piano/cello duo with Christopher Barnes. Gem Club has been featured on NPR and Pitchfork.com.
